Pringles is introducing a new line of thicker chips designed for dipping, called Pringles Dippers. The new chips are sturdier than traditional Pringles and feature wavy crisps that can scoop and hold dip. They come in three flavors: original, French onion, and bacon cheddar.
The launch of Pringles Dippers is part of a larger trend of brands positioning themselves as pairings for dips. According to Eileen Flaherty-Yao, senior director of salty at Mars Snacking North America, the new chips are designed to handle any dipping style, from light dips to heavy scoops.
The dip category has grown significantly in recent years, with refrigerated dips becoming a $2.3 billion category for the year ending May 2025, according to Circana data.
Volume sales for the category increased 3.7% from 2024. This growth is driven by consumer demand for convenient and flavorful snack options.

Pringles Dippers are not the only new product launch in the snack food industry. Pop-Tarts is collaborating with BuzzBallz to introduce a limited-edition collection of ready-to-drink canned cocktails. The partnership includes two flavors based on Pop-Tarts’ well-known offerings: Frosted S’mores and Frosted Brown-Sugar Cinnamon.
The BuzzBallz Pop-Tarts drinks contain 15% alcohol by volume and are intended exclusively for consumers of legal drinking age. They retail for $3.99 and are currently rolling out nationwide.
The launch is aimed at attracting millennial consumers interested in 1990s nostalgia. BuzzBallz has found success among Gen Z and other younger drinkers who are looking for bold flavor combinations and high alcohol options.
An IWSR report found that 57% of RTD consumers in the U.S. are either Millennials or Gen Z. This demographic is driving the growth of the ready-to-drink cocktail market, with brands like BuzzBallz gaining popularity.

In a separate development, Snoop Dogg’s premium ice cream brand, Dr. Bombay, is launching a new line of popsicles called Snoopsicles. The popsicles are made with sherbet and contain 2% milk fat, giving them a smooth and creamy texture.
Snoopsicles are available in raspberry, cherry, and lime flavors, exclusively at Costco. They are made with real fruit juice and no artificial colors, tapping into consumer demand for healthier foods made with real ingredients.
The launch marks a retail expansion for the Dr. Bombay brand and is expected to broaden the startup’s consumer base. While the snack food industry is constantly evolving, one thing remains clear: consumers are looking for new and exciting products that offer unique flavor combinations and convenient packaging.
Whether it’s thicker chips for dipping or ready-to-drink cocktails, brands are responding to this demand with innovative launches that are sure to grab attention.
