I’m going to make these meatballs for a Christmas get together (potluck for only about 60 people), they call for panko or breadcrumbs & you can substitute Rice Chex. We love Gordon Ramsay’s rich, Italian recipe – it makes a wholly uplifting midweek dinner.

Being italian, I do not use jar sauce so I made my own homemade spaghetti sauce and added them in the last hour it simmered. It’s hard to imagine anything more divine than biting into a juicy meatball and finding melted mozzarella inside. If you are craving protein, this recipe will deliver 34 grams of it while you indulge in the hot, meaty flavor.

For your own, seek out top-drawer ground meat, ask the butcher to do a custom grind, or grind your own mix (see recipe). Jamie Oliver has one for meatballs with fresh fennel sauce that I’m also partial to, though it’s more the sauce than the meatball that makes it.
