Bake Desserts

30/12/2018 dessert recipes

Cherry Salad – two words you might think don’t belong together, make my heart sing! My family always adds the 8 ounces of cream cheese and cup of powdered sugar creamed with the cool whip…then we freeze it in cupcake papers for individual servings. To make the cake batter, in a medium saucepan over low heat, stir together the remaining 5 ounces of bittersweet chocolate and the butter until melted and smooth.

I made it for Easter & am going to make it again to take camping for Memorial Wknd. This impressive restaurant-quality dessert is surprisingly easy to whip up at home. We’re going loco for the coconut dessert recipes as summer rolls in—everything from coconut-pandan cake to coconut cookies and coconut ice cream.

It’s another messily delicious pastry fest, its golden brown top scatter...

Vegan Crunk

29/12/2018 vegan recipes

Today’s post was actually yesterday’s post until I mentioned that my sister-n-law shared her recipe with me back in January at which point a profusion of thoughts and memories of events surrounding that month suddenly whirled around my brain and flowed out onto the paper, or technically speaking, the monitor. We stayed at a sweet spot near South Congress, and on our morning walk we came across this beautiful cafe called Manana They always have at least one vegan baked good for sale, great coffee (with nondairy milk choices...

5 Simple Mexican Sauces ~ Drick’s Rambling Cafe

28/12/2018 chili recipe

Spiked with cayenne, this addictive chili recipe is easy enough to throw together on a weeknight. If you enjoy making freezer meals, I would suggest using the first recipe as it freezes well for future meals. Cook it in a crock pot or Dutch oven over medium heat, stirring, until the meat is done. It’s best to let it simmer uncovered, but that’s totally impractical because it sputters and bubbles and makes a big chili mess.

Boneless chicken breasts and a variety of canned beans make the chili super easy and convenient. Rachael fuses two camping classics — chili and baked beans — for a smoky, bacon-infused main dish. Dry beans are about half the cost and don’t contain all the sodium that the canned varieties do...

Easy Chili Recipe

25/12/2018 chili recipe

There’s something about eating a nice, hearty bowl of chili that warms us down to our toes. This is a quick and delicious low fat chili recipe that chili lovers will devour.
